Starting today, the maximum lifespan of SSL/TLS Certificates is 398 days

The maximum validity period of Web server certificates (TLS certificates), issued as from today, is 398 days (13 months), less than half the maximum validity period so far (825 days or 27 months). All certificates that are issued with a longer validity period will be rejected by Apple, Google and Mozilla (which affects Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox), in a move that aims to increase the security of web sites.

Test source code available for integration of SCMD (Signature CMD) service with DSS (Digital Signature Service)

Version 1.0 of the source code that allows testing of the integration of SCMD (Signature CMD) service with DSS (Digital Signature Service), using the python programming language (version 3), has been made available (at https://github.com/devisefutures/CMD_DSS_test). Four code files are available: cmd_soap_msg.py - contains the functions that prepare and execute the SCMD SOAP commands; dss_rest_msg.py - contains the functions that prepare and execute the DSS REST commands; _signpdf_config.py - File that must be renamed to signpdf_config.

Source code available to check if the SCMD service is responding

Version 1.0 of the source code that allows to check if the SCMD (Signature CMD) service is responding, using the python programming language (version 3), has been made available (at https://github.com/devisefutures/check_CMD_plugin). The check_scmd.py application allows to check whether the SCMD service is responding, namely the SOAP GetCertificate command. It can be used as a CLI, or as a plugin for Icinga and Nagios. The source code is licensed under the GPL-3.
